  • Idaho Commission for Libraries Opens Digital Access Grants

    The Idaho Commission for Libraries (ICfL) has announced that the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) awarded Idaho more than $6.3 million to implement the Digital Access for All Idahoans (DAAI) Plan. Over 80% of the award will be subgranted to community-based organizations to facilitate local solutions to digital access divides. To that end, ICfL announced that applications are open for three grant opportunities. Applicants can apply to multiple programs.     The Idaho Commerce Office of Broadband was just recently notified by the American Enterprise Institute’s (AEI) Broadband Barometer Project that Idaho was named as the top-performing state for the transparency and efficiency of its broadband office. The Broadband Barometer Project provides resources and information to help ensure the success of current efforts to bring broadband to those who lack broadband entirely or who lack broadband of sufficient capacity to carry out modern business, education, and civic functions.
